About The Faith & Work Classroom

The Faith & Work Classroom (“us”, or “we”) is a project by Denver Institute for Faith & Work (“DIFW”). DIFW is a 501(c)(3) registered non-profit organization. We understand how important your privacy is, and are committed to creating a safe and secure environment for learners of all ages. This Privacy Policy applies to the website and related online services (collectively, our “Service”), which are all owned and operated by DIFW. This Privacy Policy describes how The Faith & Work Classroom collects and uses the information you provide on our Service.

By visiting or using our Service, you consent to the information handling practices described in this Privacy Policy. Your use of our Service and any information you provide on our Service are subject to the terms of this Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into and subject to our Terms of Service.

1. Information Collection

You may browse and preview many  features of the Service without registering for an account or providing any other personal information. If you create an account on the The Faith & Work Classroom Service, communicate with The Faith & Work Classroom, or provide us your information by other means, you provide to The Faith & Work Classroom what is generally called “Personal Information” or “Personal Data,” such as your full name, gender, email address, or other information that can be used to identify you.

Contact and Profile

When you create an account on the The Faith & Work Classroom Service, or communicate with us, we may collect personal information including your name and email address. During or after creating an account, you may also choose to provide additional information in your profile, such as your occupation, gender, location (city), and other personal or demographic information. In addition, we may ask you for personal information at other times, such as when you contact our technical support team, send us an email, complete a user survey, or otherwise communicate with The Faith & Work Classroom.

Service Usage

We may collect usage information about your use of our Service, such as the number of Courses you have taken, your completion rate for each Course, the number of videos you have viewed, and the amount of time you spend taking The Faith & Work Classroom Courses. This enables us to better tailor learning experiences that are most appropriate for you.


We may collect and use information about your location (such as your country) or infer your approximate location based on your IP address in order to provide you with tailored experiences for your region, but we don’t collect the precise geolocation of you or your device.

Usage and Devices

To provide a personalized learning and high-quality experience for our users, we may use various technologies that automatically record certain technical information from your browser or device when you visit our website, read our emails, use our Service or otherwise engage with us. Service Enhancement

The Faith & Work Classroom uses the information you provide or that we collect to operate, maintain, enhance, and provide all of the features of our Service.


We use the information to personalize your experience while using the Service. For example, the information we collect may be used to provide personalized Course recommendations.


We use your information to communicate with you about your account and respond to inquiries. We may also use your Personal Information to provide you with information about The Faith & Work Classroom’s features, services, newly published Courses, and other offerings that may be of interest to you.


The Faith & Work Classroom uses all of the information collected to understand and analyze the usage trends, learning behaviors, and preferences of our users, to improve the way the Service works and looks, and to create new features and functionality.

The Faith & Work Classroom does not rent or sell Personal Information that we collect from users with third parties. We may disclose personal information when you post content which is visible to others on the Service, when you consent or instruct us to share your personal information with third parties, or when we have a legitimate business or legal need to share your information. The Faith & Work Classroom may share information with DIFW employees and trusted vendors, third party service providers and other individuals to provide services or products for us or on our behalf, which could include analytics, content creation, marketing and similar services. The Faith & Work Classroom may release Personal Information if we have a good faith belief that access, use, preservation, or disclosure of such information is reasonably necessary to (a) satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request; (b) enforce applicable Terms of Service, including investigation of potential violations thereof; (c) investigate and defend ourselves against any third-party claims or allegations; (d) detect, prevent or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues; (e) protect the rights, property, or personal safety of The Faith & Work Classroom, DIFW, our users, or the public; or (f) as required or permitted by law.

4. Online Advertising

Interest Based Advertising

The Faith & Work Classroom may participate in interest-based advertising and use third party advertising companies to serve you targeted advertisements on other websites, apps or services, including on Facebook and other social networks, or on other devices you may use. These third party ad networks use tracking technologies to recognize your browser or device and to collect information about your visit to our Service to provide you customized content, advertising and commercial messages which may be more relevant to your interests, as well as to provide advertising-related services such as reporting, attribution, analytics and market research.

Video Delivery Services

The Faith & Work Classroom uses Vimeo, and in some cases YouTube, to display video content on the Service. These video delivery services incorporate tracking technologies, which may be present in the videos embedded on the Service, which may collect information from your browser when you view the video on the Service, including device identifiers and/or cookie IDs. This information is collected directly and automatically, and The Faith & Work Classroom does not participate in these data transmissions. The Faith & Work Classroom does not provide any Personal Information, such as user names, to Vimeo or YouTube.

5. Updating Your Personal Information

If you create an account on The Faith & Work Classroom and provide Personal Information, you may update your information at any time by logging in and then visiting your Account Settings page.

6. International Visitors

Our Service is operated and managed on servers located within the United States. If you choose to use our Service from the European Union or other regions of the world with laws governing data collection and use that differ from United States law, then you acknowledge that The Faith & Work Classroom will transfer your personal information to the United States for the purpose of performing the Service according to our contract (e.g., our Terms of Service).

8. Links to other sites

The Service may link to and may be linked by websites operated by other entities or individuals. Some of these websites may be co-branded with our name or logo. This Privacy Policy does not apply to, and we cannot always control the activities of, such other third-party websites. We may modify or revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of any changes to our Privacy Policy by posting the revised Privacy Policy with an updated date of revision on our Service.
